Autumn certainly is one of my favourite time’s of year to photograph weddings in Melbourne and a few weeks back the weather certainly did not disappoint at Monica & John’s Leonda by the Yarra wedding.
Our day begun with the boys and we couldn’t wipe the smile off John’s face, I’m sure part of the smile was that he was just about to marry his beautiful fiancé and the other part was because his best mate had hired a Lamborghini for them to get around with on the day.
As we arrived at Monica’s the girls had just arrived back from hair salon all glammed up and over enthusiastic for the big day.
Monica was very calm on the morning of her wedding, going with the flow as she prepared and what made her really happy was watching her gorgeous niece bounce and jump on her bed.
The ceremony took place at St Monica’s church in Moonee Ponds before we headed off for more wedding photo’s in Williamstown. As the bridal party took a moment for a drink and snack, I was lucky to share a stroll through the park with the couple, the light and sunshine dappling through the tress was a photographers dream, having a sweet couple to photographed made my day a breeze. As the sunset on Williamstown pier, the city skyline was a majestic backdrop for some last minute photos.
John & Monica’s wedding reception was held the our favourite Melbourne wedding reception Leonda by the Yarra wedding. An emotional night, with lots of laughs and tears during the speeches we had a great night as they danced the night away and with one more surprise as Monica stole the show by gracing the stage and singing a beautiful song to her new husband.
Thank you to you both for having me share the day with you.
